My homeslice Julie turned me on to this IQ test. The site claims that it is used as a test for employment in Japan. Because I have a fragile ego and sometimes become inexplicably relentless against inconsequential problems, I could not rest until I got everyone across the river.
Are you intimidated by the idea of a Japanese IQ test? If not, you and I have different preconceptions about that people group. Can you get everyone across the river?

Their common IQ is high because it takes uncommon smarts to just get across the street in Tokyo. That city has the highest population density in the world. Thus, you are always talking to smart people constantly. And they are always advising you as to the latest strategy for crossing the street without getting trampled.
Plus the language has I think something like 50,000 characters and ours has 26. You have to be brilliant just to be able to order a sandwich.

I got everyone across, but I’m not sure that I would have actually “passed” this test if it had been given to me by an employer.
I failed to read any instructions, and instead dove right into the test. I then randomly clicked on people, getting the annoying “you messed up” noise over and over again as I tried to figure out how to play. After trying nearly every combination, I finally got everyone across the river. Then I saw the instructions/rules and said to myself “Yup. I agree. That’s what I experienced alright.”

Perhaps this game is some kid of allegory for society. As much as we would like to be able to separate the criminal element entirely, we cross the river as a whole, or not at all. Or maybe they just couldn’t think of another reason to cause another logical separation in the people.
Good work, everybody.

the instructions, the credits, the buttons are all written in Chinese. I highly doubt this is a Japanese IQ test.
