Tractor-like she toils along narrow paths among plots of vegetables.

A visitor from lands where ice forms might find familiar footing on this moist, hard clay.

Bending double at her waist, she stains her fingers rust red with soil.

Her name she shares with one of the seven sisters–the first of her tribe; first of Earth.
